This is an idea for taking action this week.
ARTICLE: 9 Senators Trump Must Watch Out For
After I read the article above, I decided to reach out to these Senators by snail mail. I hope they all realize that I don’t often write to Senators outside my state (or the GOP in general), for help in restoring sanity to our country. But these are extraordinary times….
Below is contact information for these 9 very powerful people. They are GOP Senators who still seem to put country ahead of party, or at least their constituents ahead of the Trump party. Perhaps they like Actual Facts instead of #AlternativeFacts? Perhaps you’d like to contact them too? To follow is a list of their DC addresses and phone numbers. If you need ideas, I can share one of my letters.

Senator John McCain
218 Russell Senate Office Building
Washington, DC 20510
Dear Senator McCain,
Thank you for taking a moment of your time to read this.
My dad told me your story when I was younger. He was a Navy man and taught me the greatest respect for military veterans and those who choose service our country. I appreciate your candor with the American people, and though I haven’t always agreed with all your policy positions in the past, I absolutely respect you as a person who acts on decent and reasonable principles.
This country is now facing great challenges, domestically and abroad, that require conscientious and thoughtful responses. I am a lifelong independent, yet I am sending you this letter because I recognize your unique position to vote against rash appointments and bad policy being put together under the Trump administration.
Let me be clear: I do not like or trust the man. He has an unusual ability to influence, but he does not act on consistent principle, a clear agenda, or even loyalty. I fear many in your party have fallen in line behind him, simply because he was the GOP nominee. I believe this is not a good enough reason, and I wonder if some members of the GOP also suspect that his ascension is dangerous for our country.
I will not hide the fact that I have a liberal policy agenda, and I will not overwhelm you with all of my concerns. I have but one message to you today: I want to empower, encourage and align you with the momentum of human decency, common-sense, personal integrity, and normal social behavior. Telling the truth, or even withstanding normal press scrutiny are things of which Trump is not capable, nor are his team capable of achieving this on his behalf. Trump appears to have no agenda outside his own self-aggrandizement and perhaps service to business interests (unseen, and to date, unknowable). He has turned quickly on even his staunchest allies, humiliated many, and lashed out at anyone who doesn’t ‘kiss the ring.’ Please don’t kiss the ring.
I hope you seriously consider impeachment efforts that are bound to be put forth, and that you are not feeling fatigued by the sheer abundance of relevant Constitutional infractions of this new administration. Just because there are many, does not mean each one isn’t extremely serious. They are.
With Great Hope for our Country,
