🌱🌱🌱

Levels of emergence — a face ahead of a face straining to break through the Earth. Only spriglets and sprouts are loose.

Things of more matter take longer. It’s just the way it is. So much more to come. Chalice of water in the sky rests ready. It is currently a dream in a crescent. Soon to be clouds and maybe rains. Blue nourishment. Emergence from night.

A few leaves of fall remain. Orange and brown— the colors of dry— point toward the neck, and soon fall into the ground. Pink opens to breath and heart.

What girl didn’t want to be Miss America? #IDid And I’m owning it now. Because America needs crazy, wild, powerful, and chaotic teenage girl energy these days.

It may just be the thing to unseat a false and gawking king.

The girls who didn’t take the pageant path. They see things, they know nature. They are wilderness incarnate. And they know how to laugh through All.Of.It.

When they grow, they don’t botox and “lift” themselves into spheres of male influence, nor play footsies when they get to that table. They don’t play nice. But they are always just. They don’t compete for pageant “treats” nor try to please. Not because they aren’t beautiful, capable, loving, take-no-prisoners warriors, but precisely because they’ve already won the crown.

I wear a sash in the woods to walk my dog and watch the leaves and lensflare. I catch light, flares, inspiration, power and art while there.
