Hi. My name is Elizabeth and I am a woman. I make work here because I need to express myself and don’t have time or space to paint or make films these days. I am the mother of two children, having started that gig at the age of 40. I also run a small business, manage a home, and hang out with my dog, my husband, and friends in that order. I attempt to write every day, I struggle with depression and anxiety, and I export loads of creativity at times.
Like many people, I do many things, but feel that I am none of these things in particular. Or, I am all of them on a bad day.
My friends and family and greater groupings of humanity matter to me. I care about their well being. I care about mine. I want to make things better. I would like to explain how consciousness works. But how?
I have said to myself on a number of occasions, “as long as I have a pen in my hand, I will never go crazy.” The internet is a text, images, and coding medium — and it does just fine.
As I look over the work here: oddball turns of phrase, unicode & math characters with obsessive overuse of em dashes, I’d like you to view this piece in its entirety as an avant garde meta maker blog. I’ve always loved collage and conceptual art, and the digital sphere is where I’m practicing. Today anyway.
I hope you find something helpful to you here. Comfort and joy to you on your journey.
