I’ve been wanting to write about this topic for a long time, but felt as if I couldn’t shed “enough” light on the idea to be of value, especially because of the curse of being a certifiable perfectionist. So, instead of coddling—or worse, attempting to root this tendency out— I’ve recently experimented with a better idea: getting a bigger taste of peace and sweetness, by finding ways to take action, even if just barely “good enough.”
This strategy can make the perfectionist in you cringe, but if you try it, it can move you forward in a loping, gentle way, while you find happiness in the process, not just the grand proclamation of perfect achievement. Is this enough of a tip for today? I’m not sure, but I sincerely wish for you a day where you know you and everything you have done, and everything you have, is (and always has been) enough.
Namasté.
