I love paying bills. I may be one of the few people that does. I like it way more than I enjoy invoicing my clients (which I sweat over like an actual plague). I have always thought of paying bill like the go-to philosophy: “it is better to give than to receive.” This causes me more than a few cash flow issues, and also leads me to do not-smart things like give away my services. I’m pretty sure men don’t do this, nor do they sweat over being paid for anything.
See, I feel that if you were to extend the ideas of “giving better than receiving” or “getting for me and mine,” to a cultural stage, you can see clearly the differences between a spiritual perspective vs. a nationalist perspective, and all that naturally flows from those world views. But really, sometimes an electric bill is just an electric bill…
